Our staff members are carefully chosen. In addition to training required by state regulations, our staff is required to complete specialized training to work with our camper population. To enable success, we maintain a low camper to staff ratio (3:1).
Our therapists are carefully chosen according to their knowledge and expertise working with diverse pediatric populations. Our therapists are licensed or certified in their area of specialty to ensure the highest level of therapeutic intervention. At camp, therapists carefully plan and guide goal-directed group therapy sessions.
Group Leaders have qualified experience working with children. They plan and implement group sessions in areas where they have a known background.
Head Counselors are college students or college graduates in a related field of study (i.e. occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, special education, etc.). They are responsible for maintaining the group schedule, facilitating the social process, and fostering camper success during group activities.
